Our practice concept
Our practice was founded in 1999 on its current premises and is part of an interdisciplinary health center with practices of different specialties. We are located on Potsdamer Platz, right in the center of Berlin, near the government district and with great accessibility.
Many patients have been with ever since our practice was established almost two decades ago. Others who come to us work in one of the nearby office buildings or commute to Berlin and want to avoid a weeks-long wait for an appointment. Yet others are visiting Berlin during their holidays and appreciate our fast, reliable service in an emergency. We offer consultations in English, French, and Russian. Our practice not only offers appointments for orthopedics and trauma surgery treatments. We also treat many acute illnesses and injuries (incl. work/commute/school/kindergarten accidents as contractual partner of the professional associations). Fast and uncomplicated.
We provide profound clinical examinations supported by the latest methods and technologies. Our diagnoses follow a holistic approach. Based on the diagnosis, we suggest a treatment course – usually conservative – that we will explain to you clearly and in detail. We strongly believe that the best possible result for your health requires a cooperation between patient and doctor based on a mutual understanding. Should a surgical procedure be necessary based on the indication, we will perform it in our practice after extensive consultation and information. We perform both outpatient and inpatient procedures. Naturally, we also provide follow-up care. This means that you will get full-service, reliable treatment and care from one source. Our patients will not be "handed-off” to other doctors. We are always available to consult and inform you.
Our team
Our team consists of 3 doctors and 6 medical assistants who are at your service daily from 8 a.m. Naturally, we also arrange individual appointments that fit your schedule – just contact us.

Our staff is highly qualified and committed. Regular seminars and advanced training courses keep their professional expertise up to date. We are a well-attuned team – some of our medical assistants have been with us for more than 20 years!
The doctors
Dr. med. Brit Schumann-Veith
Orthopedist and trauma surgery specialist
Surgeon
Dr. Brit Schumann-Veith joined the practice as orthopedist and trauma surgeon following many years working in orthopedic and trauma-surgery clinics. Her work focuses on cartilage and osteoarthritis therapies. She also performs minor outpatient surgery procedures and surgical trauma management.
Dr. med. Rotraud Kuhn
Orthopedist and trauma surgery specialist
Hand surgeon
Dr. Kuhn had been working in orthopedic and trauma surgery clinics in Berlin for ten years. After that she specialized in hand surgery. She worked there for five years, two of them as a senior doctor. In 2019 she switched to the outpatient sector. She has been part of the team here since July 2020. Her main focus is surgical and conservative hand surgery. In addition, she performs infant hip sonography.
Our Orthopedics Centre on Potsdamer Platz is located right in the heart of Berlin, easily accessible by car and public transportation.
